ASSEMBLYING DAY On last March the 2nd, at the incomparable Space 0 of “Centro Párraga” ,and with the CENDEAC collaboration, took place the first ALL AGE CITY ASSSEMBLYING DAY What is the assemblying day? A work meeting designed to, in specialized discussion boards, share and problematize practices, knowledge, policies and experiences related to the elderly social integration, in order to mobilize efforts in social innovations mediated by the design and management of the urban. In what context? 1 .- The demographic trends and forecasting in the European Union of a fast aging of its population, have created a climate of shared awareness of the need to rethink citizenship restriction conditions, in which the elderly, in many cases, access to the public. But how to translate this interest into concrete actions in building the environment is not an automatic process or a process that can be delegated to a single body of public action. 2 .- In July 2009, OUI presented the All Age City Decalogue to promote intergenerationality and urbanization of old age. The document is a framework for discussion, thought to trigger the interaction of those involved in the social design of old age. In 2010 is planned to public the presentation of the Quality Mark, a figure of urban intervention binding upon those municipalities that have signed it. The successful development and implementation of the Decalogue in quality brand depends on the capacity of engagement and participation of experts, decision makers and affected. 3 .- At this moment, there are numerous departments and agencies, regional and municipal administration, academic and scientific institutions, cultural agencies and private firms, that analyze and contribute to prescribe social inclusion of older people. The elderly population also has space representation given association. However, in many cases are connected with precarious areas or of no interaction devices parliaments.
