 The housing scheme, planned for a newlywed couple, reflects the intention of turning their  night-and -day  units towards  a large patio perpendicular to the facade,  closing a street of little visual interest street .

The patio is generated by separating the building from the middling 3.5 m along its length and E orientation. This determines a band that is partly developed on the ground floor, forming a small garden, and, primarily, a first floor as a terrace.

Wi-Fi Pavilion

The idea of the project is the construction of an exportable concept of wifi-media pavilion located in the heart of a university campus. The building performs as a virtual interface providing public internet access and a singular meeting spot for students to hung out, and relax . The star/shaped pavilion is divided into 5 different spaces surrounding a central courtyard that guaranties maximum natural lighting and ventilation.The island raises 1.5 meters from the natural level of the ground though a white gravel landscape.

 The proposal takes advantage of difficult planning restrictions affecting the site and results in a compact volume  partially open both to internal garden and main entrance.

The outer envelope of the house is material-integrated with the perimeter fence of the plot , getting more emphasis looking by the street and a lower visual impact of the building. The fence itself is folded to accommodate the parking area.

The firm conviction that the issue of scale must be a generator of the main architectural nature of the proposal. This is not to make a "small" building  ,but to bring the built piece to the scale of a child through a  strategy of segregation in different parts of the programm in order to "domesticate" the proposal at maximum, from the size of the spaces to the character of the constructed image.
